DateTrac is a very comprehensive program that will allow you to set reminders for things to be done. The reminders will pop up on the day scheduled and the day before. Reminders that are late because the PC has been off for several days pop up as late reminders. DateTrac has many configuration options including customized reminder dates, skins and fonts.

Been working with this author and using this program for years. Simple daily reminder with the ability to set preview days. Neat thing about this program is that it pops up any reminders for a particular day and once the reminder is dismissed, it exits rather than remaininig in your tray, as well as your system's memory. Give it a try. Completely portable (zero registry entries) and completely free with no nag screens.
